Crystal’s Dream
Crystal Bowman had always dreamed about the day she would attend her high
school prom, unfortunately that day never came due to her untimely death in
2000 from Leukemia. Most young girls dream of having a glamorous fairy tale
prom night; however those dreams never become a reality for some due to
economical and family challenges.
There are many resources for young girls in group homes, shelters or in foster
care that assist in making that special day attainable. These organizations
donate dresses, shoes, accessories and makeup but in addition to these basic
needs young girls wish to have that elegant hair style that complements their
overall look.
Cosmetology services can be essential to providing the girls with professional
healthy hair and self –esteem that will inspire her to maintain for years to come.
The memories of that special day of how beautiful she was will give the
confidence to believe and achieve the inner beauty that lies with in.
Although Crystal never made it to her prom, her giving and uplifting personality
would have wanted it for others. Renewed Women is seeking cosmetologist all
over the state of Georgia to assist us in Crystals dream and making the dreams
of other young girls be a success by volunteering their services for that one
special girl on that one special day.
